Racquel Monique

Described as “power in a tiny package,” petite Racquel combines rich tones with soulful sultriness. A quintuple threat who began singing at the age of two, this singer/songwriter/lyricist/arranger/composer prefers Urban Gospel, Hip Hop, and R&B, but says she appreciates all styles of music. She cut her performance teeth young, while performing in her family’s gospel musical group, Even Higher. She continued performing throughout her tween and teen years, soon co-writing and producing other Christian Contemporary acts. Always one to multitask, she continued performing as a rap artist and vocalist with Christian rap group K&K Productions and soon became lead vocalist with the group Straight Up for Jesus.

The eclectic performer continues writing songs and collaborating with various artists in a variety of genres. She has shared the stage with some of Gospel's finest, including the late James Moore and Blanche Mcallister Dykes. In the future she looks forward to continuing a thriving career as a musician, artist and producer, but also plans to break into the film industry, writing or even acting in a television series.
